Knitting News
Good morning! How are you and your projects coming along?
I've been very productive in my knitting. I've been inspired by the cooler weather and started thinking about knitting Christmas gifts. Yes! Christmas! Sadly today the hot weather returns and we are back into the summer heat.
First up is my gray shawl that is off the needles this week but I'm waiting to block it, my laundry room had a deep clean and I was sidetracked by the deep clean. Once that project was off the needles I returned to the sock knitting. I made it to the first heel flap and gusset. I'm still thinking about whether or not to make them matching. I did like the freedom of just knitting the socks and not caring about the striping repeats. I guess I'll keep thinking about it, I've got some time.
What are you working on this week?
I've really enjoyed this cooler weather, too. It makes for a cooler kitchen when canning. :) The shawl is beautiful...and I REALLY like the sock! Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the shawl finish! That is such a pretty sock. I'm not a match-matchy person, so I would not mind if the second sock matched or not. We are still on the chilly side this morning!

ReplyDeleteOn those type of yarns I don't even try to make them matching. With my best efforts, even if the top matches, by the time I get down the foot they are always a few rows off. I guess my tension varies sock to sock. Your look great so far.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to finish a project because then you can think about the next one. Socks don't have to match. Sometimes it is easier not to fiddle about to make them match, said one who often fiddles.
ReplyDeleteI love your socks. I like socks to be brainless so mine rarely match. Congrats on the deep clean in the laundry room. That must feel sooo good.
