Happenings
Good morning! How are you today? Over here I've been great! The weather has been spectacular and my cooling/heating system hasn't kicked on for days. Since I last wrote here, I've been focusing on the little sweaters that I am nearly done making. I'm itching to knit something else and that's were my main motivation is coming from.
On Saturday we were supposed to go to the grandkid's soccer practice and our grand nephew's tee ball game and both were cancelled! My daughter in law and I with the kids did a spur of the moment trip to a neighboring town fall festival. I enjoyed watching the little kids have fun. I did pretty good until the sun was beaming down on me and I got too hot. (sun sensitive and sun intolerance from the autoimmune disease). Overall I did okay and I had a really nice time. I haven't been to a festival since moving here in 2021. Now that I went, I'm probably good for another five years, ha ha.
Yesterday we did nothing and that was everything. Sometimes it's nice to have nothing on the calendar.
What have you been up to? Do you have any festivals to go to? Do you like them?

Those little sweaters are so cute! And colorful! I can enjoy a good Fall festival, but I am not fond of crowds. Iris still had soccer Saturday morning - her practice was moved inside due to the rain. The kids had plans to go to an Octoberfest Saturday for dinner, but it was cancelled due to the rain. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a lovely weekend! Those little sweaters are just so adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Sounds like a good weekend for you. I need to find out if there are any fall festivals around here. We enjoy things like that. They can be a lot of fun. We are having a cool and rainy day here - so nice! I love cooler fall weather. Have a great week!

ReplyDeletethose sweaters are cute! I find social events can be tiring too!
ReplyDeleteKnitting tiny sweaters and a day without busy-ness are very good things.

Here, we recently had ganesh chaturthi.. We did not go anywhere, but stayed mom and my mother made modaks. I really wanted to make some (steamed rice balls filled with coconut) - but I fell sick. Hoping to make it sometime again.
