Knitting News

I've been focusing on two projects this past week.  First off is the ever so addicting to knit baby sweater in a deep forest green.  Baby sweaters are delightful and fast!  I should be done with this sweater in a day or so.  It's amazing that human beings start off so adorably tiny.

I've tweaked this pattern so that I do not have to seam anything.  I knit the sleeves in the round and then pick up stitches at the sleeve edge while creating the body.

The last of the scrappy cowls (I've made two here and here).  This scrappy cowl will be extra scrappy because I really don't have enough yarn to make the cowl in three colors.  I like the challenge and it stretches my creativity in a good way.

What have you been working on this past week?

  3. Love that baby sweater and bravo for skipping seaming! I love your scrappy cowl and can't wait to see what yarn comes next - it almost makes it feel like it knits up faster that way, doesn't it?

  7. Baby sweaters are fun to knit. Yours is going to be adorable. Scrappy projects are potato chip knitting - as in if I knit a little more I'll add another color. That pattern works up well in scraps. I'm currently knitting a shorter version for my sister's birthday gift but I won't be posting about it until after her November birthday.

  8. Oh that cardigan is adorable, I love baby knits too. They knit up so quickly and they look so tiny to it is hard to believe that we all start out that size!
