Wheat Cardigan

How are you doing? How are your projects coming along?

I finished the baby sweater on Sunday night. I am so glad this sweater is off the needles. I didn't enjoy knitting this one compared to all the others I've knitted as gifts because the first skein was filled with breaks in one of the three plies. I buried so many threads on one of the sleeves. The second skein was absolutely fine.

I have some yarn left over for a hat which I will start today, maybe. It's been a busy week helping out with the grandchildren. If not today hopefully tomorrow.

What are you working on this week?

  1. What a pain to have those breaks in the yarn... how frustrating! Fortunately, the sweater is adorable and does not reflect any of that frustration!

  2. The sweater is darling. Just sorry you had to deal with nasty breaking yarn! That is frustrating. I'm working on a shawl and a sock when I have time.

  3. Unfortunately I don't have a flair for knitting, crocheting or art. This sweater is gorgeous!

  4. Karen, that sweater is absolutely adorable. I love the color and the design.

  5. What a sweet little sweater in spite of a skein that required burying ends. The color is so soft. I finished a shawl and continue to work on a pair of socks for my daughter. The first Christmas gift on the needles.

  6. The sweater turned out beautifully (so sorry about the ugh that the yarn presented). I've spent the week on church stuff (kickoff is this Sunday!) and sewing ?! ...and I'm ready to get back to the comfort of knitting :-)

  7. Your little sweater is so adorable, and you will be the only one that knows it was not a fun knit. Can't wait to see the hat.
